Today let’s concentrate on the most common sound linking situation.

今天我们来关注更普通的连音情况。

儿童故事Whenever a word ending in a consonant sound is followed by a word beginning with a vowel sound,the consonant sound is linked to the vowel sound as if they were part of the same word.

若以辅音结尾的词组前面跟着以辅音结尾的词组，这个单词就跟前面的辅音连在一起发音五年级零基础学英语口语，如同那两个音形成了一个单词。

儿童故事I’d like another bowl of rice,please.

First,note that although there’re six words in the sentence,all the words are linked together without pause.

“Like another”,“like-another”. “Like” ends in a consonant sound,and “another” begins with a vowel sound.

儿童故事So the “k” from “like” is linked to the “a” from “another” to produce “kanother”.
